Ernie Ball Axis Super Sport Reviews 5

I purchase this Guitar at Royal Music in New York for $1,250.00. It was this guitar or a Paul Reed Smith. The Axis is less expensive, much lighter and delivers awesome sound when compared to the PRS.

The guitar is light. The humbucking pickups can rock, sing the blues or punch some oldies tunes out. Sustain is unbelievable. The neck, strings and tremolo are set up perfect. This guitar holds its tuning even after hours of slamming through string bends. The finish is perfect. Ive playing for 34 years. This guitar makes me rock again.

No advertising. If I knew about this guitar earlier I would have bought it sooner.

The finish is superb. No adjustments needed out of the box. All the Music Man guitars are consistant with construction. Not like other guitars where one feels better than another. The neck comes with birdseye maple that ages to perfection.

Buy one. This guitar will last a lifetime. It brings back enjoyment to playing the guitar. The work needed - sit back and rock or just sing the blues.

Paid $1,419.00 at Sam Ash. I traded in a Gibson Les Paul DC that I bought there a couple of months earlier. While the Les Paul sounded great, I wasn't crazy about the way it played. I had it set-up several times but it never felt quite right. As soon as I picked up the Axis I was sold.

The neck is great. The factory set-up was perfect. I have the double Dimarzio humbuckers which sound awesome. The guitar is nice and light. The people at Ernie Ball are very helpfull. I had a minor issue with the volume knob. When I called them I got right through to a real person who sent a new knob right out to me.

I'm not crazy about the color. It is a red and black sparkle. There were nicer looking guitars there but I chose this one becuase of the way it played.

Very well built. This guitar has Schaller locking tuners, stoptail bridge, string thru body, 5 way selector switch. The finish and binding is perfect.

I've been playing for almost 30 years. I've owned many different kinds of guitars. This guitar is by far the nicest one I've ever played. I would highly recomend this guitar to anyone looking for a great playing, great sounding guitar.
